Sing Tao Stall Steals the Show

Reported by Chiu Yu-shan for Sing Tao News from San Francisco

Sing Tao Daily and the Sing Tao Chinese Radio Station seized the opportunity to wish the local community a happy Chinese New Year. Yesterday at the San Francisco Chinatown Flower Market, the Sing Tao booth was packed with visitors.
Over 1,800 copies of the Sing Tao Daily were delivered early in the morning each bundled with an exquisite New Year scroll. These were so popular among the general public that more than half had been sold before noon. Though the Chinese New Year is a time for celebration, Sing Tao Daily did not forget about the victims of the Haiti earthquake; a "Haiti Disaster Relief" donation box was set up at the booth to help victims of the earthquake.
Outstanding performances took place at the stage provided by the Sing Tao Chinese Radio Station. Performers include the 2005 winner from group B of the children's talent show, Hao-liang Li, and 2007 winner of the Asia Buzz Award, Le-cian Jhen, both showcased their singing skills, while Master Jhih-ling Jhao, President of the International Hung Gar Federation, who acted in the Stephen Chow film "Kung Fu Hustle", gave an exhilarating martial arts demonstration.
Apart from the performances, the Sing Tao Chinese Radio Station also gave away generous prizes including a banquet at the King Wah Seafood Restaurant, a $200 voucher from Ulferts furniture, a family portrait from Glory Studio worth $138, a Lily Year of the Tiger silver coin, a Cordyceps tea cup, a Cordyceps soup pack, candies and crackers from Sinjin Enterprise, Vina ACECOOK Vietnamese Noodles from Sunnyvale Seafood, tea from Prince Tea, Triple Leaf ginseng tea, Prince Danish cookies, and many more.
Sing Tao Daily and the Sing Tao Chinese Radio Station booths for the New Year & Lantern Festival are G63 and G64 located at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Broadway.
